Gluten free
Gluten free diets have become more and more necessary over the past few decades due to the fact that gluten is directly linked to coeliac disease and many other health problems. Gluten is a mixture of proteins found in wheat, barley & rye. There are many other products to avoid and you really need to do your research if you want to completely avoid gluten.
Our entire website is gluten free and cooking in your own home is the best way to avoid gluten altogether. If you are purchasing any pre-packaged products, we suggest you read labels very carefully. Not just looking out for the word gluten, but also avoiding products with toxic additives which are used to mimic gluten.
Please note that we do have some recipes that contain oats, which can come under scrutiny in the gluten free diet. If you are just starting a gluten free diet, follow the guidance of the health professional you are working with. You may need to avoid oats altogether until you can reintroduce them at the appropriate time.
As we always say restricted diets are not for everyone. We suggest you see a medical professional or nutrition expert before and during any diet changes. Always listen to your body and the way it reacts with different foods and diet changes, it will guide you on what’s right for you.
