Everyday Salad


A simple and quick side salad that will work with any protein of your choice.

Tip: Always leave the dressing off until you are ready to serve.

Hint: Add any fresh herbs, nuts or seeds you like. A little goat's cheese or fried haloumi would also be nice.

Ingredients

Dressing

1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon, lime or orange juice
1 pinch of dried garlic or onion powder
any fresh or dried herbs of choice
Himalayan or sea salt & cracked black pepper to taste

Ingredients

1 cup of mixed salad leaves
1/4 small cucumber, thinly sliced
1/8 small red onion or 1 long green shallot/scallion, sliced
3 cherry tomatoes or 6 smaller tomatoes, halved
1/8 small capsicum, diced

Method

  1. Whisk all of the dressing ingredients together and set aside.
  2. Mix all of the salad ingredients in a serving bowl and add the dressing when ready to serve.
