Apple Pie Porridge


This bowl of porridge will make you smile. The spice mix is optional, but it will give you the apple pie flavour. Using cinnamon alone is also delicious.

TIP: You can use any preferred type of plant milk. The coconut milk does give an extra creaminess but it can become quite thick whilst cooking.

Ingredients

1/3 cup of gluten free organic rolled oats
1/3 cup of unsweetened oat milk or almond milk
1/3 cup of unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk
1/3 cup of water
1 teaspoon of pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Large pinch of ground cloves
Large pinch of ground nutmeg
1 small apple, grated

Method

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a small pot.  Bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer and cook for4-5mins, stirring occasionally. 
  2. Cool for a minute or 2 and then add some extra oat milk & maple syrup (if needed) & serve.
