Very Berry Smoothie Bowl

Just like a big bowl of berry ice-cream! How can something that tastes this incredible be so good for you?

Hint: We love Melrose Essential Reds powder in this bowl.

Note: We used 1/3 cup each of frozen blueberries and strawberries and 1/3 cup fresh raspberries.
It really just depends on what you have available at the time.

Tip: If you use all frozen fruit reduce the number of ice cubes.

Note: For AIP swap the almond milk for another suitable plant-based milk.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon of unsweetened coconut yoghurt
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/3 cup of fresh raspberries
1/3 cup of frozen blueberries
1/3 cup of frozen strawberries
3 ice cubes

Method

  1. Add all ingredients except toppings to a nutri-bullet or blender.
  2. Blend on high for 10-20secs. You don’t want to over blend and have the mixture turn too liquid.
  3. Continue to pulse until all ingredients are combined and there are no noticeable clumps of fruit remaining. Pulsing ensures the best consistency without heating up the ingredients and losing that frozen texture.
  4. Pour the ingredients into your bowl and either use our choice of toppings or get creative with your own.

Note: You can add in any of your favourite superfood or protein powders like Maca, mushroom powders & tonics or pre/probiotics
