Paleo Apple Cereal


This bowl of warm apple cereal is a combination of a chia seed pudding and almond cereal that tastes just like apple pie!

Chia and flax seeds pack a punch of nutrients, fibre, Omega-3's and antioxidants.

Ingredients

1/2 medium red apple (75g) grated
3/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of blanched almond meal
1 tablespoon of whole flax seeds
2 teaspoons of chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon of coconut sugar
3 pecans, chopped and blueberries to serve (optional)

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer (around 3 minutes) Cook for 5 more minutes.
  2. Serve alone or with the pecans and blueberries.
